The Corona College of Education implements teacher professional development programmes through its Consult Unit targeted at building capacities of teachers and school administrators.
The college has worked with training organisations and other tertiary institutions for over 12 years and has gained significant insight into teacher training. The impact of the training on teacher quality has been long-lasting.
In addition to design and implementation of training programmes, the CCED Consult also offers services in areas such as school recruitment, conducting training needs assessments, financial management for schools, new school project development and risk management for schools.

Adenike Onafeso joined Corona Schools’ Trust Council in September 1997 as a Class Teacher in Corona School, Victoria Island. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the Ogun State University, Ago -Iwoye in 1989, a Post Graduate Diploma in Education and a Master’s in Education – Guidance and Counselling, both from the University of Lagos in 2003 and 2006 respectively.
Mrs Onafeso has worked in various capacities. In March 2007, she was appointed Junior School Coordinator at the Central Office. Mrs Onafeso was promoted to the position of Deputy Head of Corona School, Lekki in September 2009 in recognition of her conscientiousness and commitment to the Trust Council. In this position, she became the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) Leader of Lekki School, ICT Coordinator for the Corona team, and a Corona Leadership Talent Pool member. Due to her apt leadership skills, In August 2017 she became the Head of School of Corona School, Ikoyi and in September 2022, she was redeployed to Head the Consult Department of the Corona College of Education.
She has been exposed to a wide range of training, internal and external, to further enhance her skills. She continues to hone her learning and expertise and has become a valuable resource person in the Trust Council.
She is a firm believer in the Corona vision and actively promotes the same. She is passionate about adding value to lives and helping individuals develop their abilities and skills to the optimum.
Nora is a passionate and dedicated educator. She is the Training and Development Manager, Corona College of Education Consult. Until her appointment on September 2, 2019, She was Deputy Head of School, Lekki, April 17, 2018 – July 20, 2019, and Junior Schools Coordinator, 2013 – 2018. Mrs Jegede joined Corona Schools’ Trust Council in September 2005 as a Class Teacher at Corona School, Victoria Island. In 2009, She was appointed the Head of Social Studies Department, a responsibility she satisfactorily handled before moving on to serve as Junior Schools Coordinator in January 2014.
Mrs Jegede obtained a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Language Arts from the University of Ibadan in 1990 and a master’s in Educational Technology in 2010 from the National Open University.
Nora has consistently displayed a high level of professionalism and leadership skills in the delivery of her duties and has facilitated several training courses.
She has been exposed to a wide range of continuous personal development training within and outside the country to enhance her skills. Mrs Jegede is a dedicated and hardworking staff of the Trust Council. She is interested in seeing possibilities beyond what is currently known, accepted or obvious.
Mrs Oluwatosin Akinlehin joined the Corona Schools’ Trust Council in November 2009 as a corp member with the then Teacher Training School and was retained after her youth service year in 2010. She contributed to the development and accreditation of the training school to the present College of Education.
Tosin is a training executive and customer service person with over ten years of experience in managing various training and consultancy projects with the CCED Consult.
She is a business development professional with a first degree (B.SC) in Mass Communication/Public Relations from Madonna University Okija, Anambra State, and a Master’s in Public and International Affairs from the University of Lagos.
She has attended numerous trainings locally and internationally to keep abreast with current trends in the Education management sector and other relevant professional capacity.
