The Corona College of Education (CCED) is an institution that has become a pacesetter in many respects within the short time of its conception.

Professional Diploma in Education (PDE)

The PDE programme aims to prepare graduates of tertiary institutions to become qualified teachers.

The programme offers opportunities to serving teachers and school owners without teaching qualifications and aspiring teachers to acquire relevant knowledge in the field of education and subsequently be certified in the discipline.

It offers an enriched curriculum, quality training by seasoned lecturers and it is TRCN approved. TRCN (Teacher’s Registration Council of Nigeria) examination, certification and membership is offered upon completion.

Professional Diploma in Educational Leadership and Management (PDELM)

This is a nine-month specialised programme designed to meet the needs of educational managers in these changing times. The programme incorporates the latest strategic thinking in educational leadership and management.

It equips leaders and education managers with relevant skills to function and improve school growth and productivity. PDELM also empowers leaders with various ways of addressing regulatory, leadership and management challenges in the educational environment.

Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE)

The Nigerian Certificate in Education (N.C.E.) is the minimum teaching qualification in Nigeria require to produce quality teachers for the basic qualification sub sector.

The Professional Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (PDECCE)

This course is a 9 month specialised programme designed to meet the candidates’ need in developing the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary for working with young children.

This course is for existing and aspiring early childhood educators, who require an in-depth understanding of the principles and practices of early childhood care and education.

Upon successful completion of the course, graduates will be qualified to teach Playgroup, Nursery, K1 and K2 children from 18 months to 6 years old.

CCED's Short Term Duration Training Courses

The college’s short-term duration training courses are geared towards improving the effectiveness of teachers in the classrooms as well as education leaders in the various schools.

These courses are meant to create a culture of continuous development to stimulate learning in the classrooms and inspire growth in schools. The CCED Consult oversees these programmes.

Annual Corona Camp for Educators

The annual Corona Camp for Educators provides an avenue for Teachers, non-teaching staff, School Leaders and School Administrators to take a break from their busy schedule to relax, refresh, reflect and re-evaluate towards a new session in a scenic and quiet environment, away from the major city hustle and bustle.

The programme runs annually during the July/August school vacation for a week. The programme includes training sessions, seminars, brain storming sessions, group discus-sions and presentation, recreational activities, sightseeing, African night/awards and much more.
