The Nigerian Certificate in Education (N.C.E.) is the minimum teaching qualification in Nigeria require to produce quality teachers for the basic qualification sub sector.
The NCE components courses offered include:
WAEC/NECO Senior School Certificate (SSC), General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (GCE O’Level), or their equivalents with passes in four subjects which must be at credit level in the same sitting or at two sittings. Two of the credits must be relevant to the course the candidate wishes to offer. Credit in English and Mathematics are required
